“Ode to the Mother”

This is an ode to honor mother earth & the maternal lineage. This song is an ode to the Great Cosmic Mother, the Archetypal Mother, Grandmother, the Human mother, and Mother Earth. The song & it’s lyrics capture the times we are living in, with climate change / ecological crisis , “the race to Mars”, the pandemic, and our systems seeming to be on the brink of collapse.

The song also captures the rise of the Feminine Principal and worship of the mother that we have been led astray from in Western culture.

The lyrics embody Mother Earth speaking to her child, to sit with her, return to the earth, as she calls us into a new path, of a more spacious and simple way of being.

The lyrics “This is an ode to the mother....This is an ode to the mother in me”,
come from the perspective of the “realized” child, and an eco-pyschological /eco-somatic perspective indicating that we are not separate from the earth and the creation around us.

The dual perspectives within this song are written in hopes to guide the listener to identifying as a connected being to the earth but also a separate being that plays their role in the restoration of the future.
A calling to serve as guidance to assist in the healing of the collective.
