  • Trauma-informed care recognizes that trauma affects not just the mind, but also the body and nervous system, shaping how we think, feel, and relate to others. This approach prioritizes safety, choice, and empowerment throughout the healing process.

    Core Principles:

Safety: Creating a physically and emotionally safe space, respecting boundaries, and moving at your pace.

Trust & Transparency: Clear communication, ensuring you're in control of your healing journey.

Choice & Autonomy: Restoring your sense of agency, empowering you to make decisions in the process.

Empowerment: Focusing on your inner strength and resilience, rather than what needs to be "fixed."

Somatic Awareness: Using body sensations, breath, and grounding techniques to regulate the nervous system and release trauma stored in the body.

Cultural Sensitivity: Recognizing and respecting your unique lived experience, including personal and systemic trauma.

    In Sessions:

Gentle Tracking: Noticing body sensations to integrate experiences without overwhelm.

Titration & Pendulation: Moving between stress and safety to avoid dysregulation.

Co-Regulation: Creating new relational experiences of safety to heal attachment wounds.

Slow, Consent-Based Approach: Working at your pace with mindful checking-ins to ensure safety

  • Somatic Guidance is a body-centered approach to healing that helps you reconnect with yourself, release tension, and cultivate a sense of safety and ease. It recognizes that trauma and emotions are stored in the body, and healing occurs when we address both mind and body.

Using awareness, movement, breath, and touch, somatic therapy supports your body’s natural ability to heal, helping you become more present and attuned to your internal experience. Unlike traditional talk therapy, somatic therapy allows you to:

✔ Process emotions through body awareness
✔ Release tension and trauma patterns beyond words
✔ Build self-trust and safety in your body
✔ Rewire nervous system responses to stress and anxiety
✔ Foster deeper connection and authenticity in relationships

This approach brings lasting transformation by healing both the mind and body.

  • Breathwork is a transformative practice that uses specific breathing techniques to promote emotional release, self-awareness, and overall healing. By consciously controlling your breath, you can access deeper states of relaxation, clarity, and emotional renewal, releasing tension and blockages held in the body.

Breathing deeply activates the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting healing, relaxation, and emotional regulation. Many people develop shallow, unconscious breathing patterns due to stress and trauma, which can lead to emotional stagnation and physical discomfort. Breathwork helps to:

✔ Release emotional blocks and trauma
    ✔ Reduce anxiety and stress
✔ Increase energy, mental clarity, and focus
    ✔ Cultivate self-awareness and resilience

Breathwork empowers you to connect with your body’s innate wisdom, fostering long-term healing and transformation.

  • Attachment theory explores how early relationships, especially with caregivers, shape our ability to connect with others. It influences how we handle conflict, regulate emotions, and form relationships throughout life. Developed by John Bowlby and expanded by Mary Ainsworth, attachment theory identifies four main styles:

    1. Secure Attachment – Comfortable with intimacy and independence, able to trust others.

    2. Anxious Attachment – Craves closeness but fears abandonment, often seeking reassurance.

    3. Avoidant Attachment – Values independence and struggles with emotional intimacy.

    4. Disorganized Attachment – Exhibits both anxious and avoidant behaviors, often due to past trauma.

How Attachment Theory Shows Up in Therapy
In therapy, we explore how early relational patterns influence your emotional regulation and body responses. Since attachment forms in the body before language, healing requires addressing both the mind and body to restore safety.

Healing attachment wounds involves more than understanding the past; it’s about feeling safe and present in your body today to experience balanced relationships and inner connection.

  • Inner Child Work
Inner child work helps you reconnect with the younger parts of yourself carrying unmet needs and emotional wounds, which influence your beliefs and relationships. Healing these parts can release old patterns, such as people-pleasing, fear of abandonment, and self-doubt.

    How It Works:

    • Awareness & Connection: Identify and connect with inner child wounds.

    • Somatic Reconnection: Use breathwork and movement to create safety in the body.

    • Reparenting & Repair: Nurture your inner child with compassion and set healthy boundaries.

    • Integration: Shift limiting beliefs and build a new, empowered self.

    Transformation:
Healing your inner child helps you break old patterns, build self-compassion, and experience more joy, security, and empowerment. It’s about healing in the present for a more authentic, fulfilling life.

  • Eco-somatics and ecopsychology explore the connection between our inner world and nature, recognizing that healing ourselves is linked to healing our relationship with the Earth.

    Why It’s Important:
Disconnection from nature can cause stress, anxiety, and eco-grief. Eco-somatics helps restore this connection, regulate the nervous system, and foster a sense of belonging.

    How It Works:

    • Sensory Awareness: Engage your senses to connect with nature.

    • Nervous System Regulation: Use nature for co-regulation and somatic practices.

    • Eco-Somatic Rituals: Practice earth-based rituals and symbolism for emotional healing.

    • Healing Grief: Address eco-anxiety and strengthen your Earth connection.

    Transformation:
Eco-somatics helps you feel grounded, reduce stress, and reconnect with nature and your authentic self.

  • Psychedelic experiences have the potential to be deeply healing, insightful, and transformative, but their true power lies in how we prepare for them and integrate their lessons into daily life. Without proper preparation, an experience can feel overwhelming or unclear. Without integration, insights may fade without creating real change. A trauma-informed, body-based approach to psychedelic work ensures that you enter the experience with intention, safety, and support—and that you leave it with a grounded sense of meaning, healing, and growth.

  • Meditation and mindfulness practices help you reconnect with the present moment, reduce stress, and enhance emotional balance. By cultivating awareness without judgment, these techniques promote clarity, inner peace, and self-compassion.

    Benefits:

    • Quiet mental chatter and gain clarity

    • Build emotional resilience and reduce stress

    • Increase self-awareness, focus, and compassion

    Therapeutic Approach:

    • Mindfulness of thoughts, emotions, and sensations

    • Breathwork and body scanning for relaxation

    • Guided meditation for emotional healing

    • Practical mindfulness tools for daily life

    Outcome:
These techniques foster greater calm, self-compassion, and emotional balance, leading to a more mindful, fulfilling life.

  • The vagus nerve plays a key role in regulating stress, emotions, and bodily functions like heart rate and digestion. Polyvagal Theory, developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, explains how our nervous system reacts to safety and stress, helping us manage emotions and heal from trauma.

    Why It’s Important:

    • Supports emotional regulation and stress management

    • Helps heal trauma and improve resilience

    • Enhances social connection and overall health

    Therapy Techniques:

    • Deep breathing and body-based practices to regulate the nervous system

    • Vagus nerve activation through humming, chanting, and massage

    • Grounding and emotional safety exercises to foster connection

    Benefits:

    • Increased emotional resilience and regulation

    • Reduced anxiety, stress, and physical symptoms

    • Improved social connections and physical health

  • This approach combines psychological insight, somatic awareness, and spiritual wisdom to promote deep transformation, healing the body, mind, and soul.

    Why It’s Important:

    • Helps with disconnection, self-doubt, and spiritual longing

    • Provides meaning and purpose beyond symptom relief

    • Bridges psychology and spiritual growth

    How It Works:

    • Heal unconscious patterns and fragmented parts of the psyche

    • Balance the nervous system and clear energetic blockages

    • Trust intuition and explore deeper spiritual messages

    • Integrate trauma healing with spiritual practices

    • Develop grounding rituals that connect body and spirit
